Please Note: The track records I publish in this diary are my own results and, as such, may not match up exactly to a tipster’s published track record. This is because I’m not always in a position to place the bets shortly after I receive them and so I will occasionally either take slightly lower prices or leave the bet altogether if it has shortened too much. I also place my own multiple bets which are detailed in the introduction post linked above.

Racing
Sam, who has now been promoted to a regular from trial status, celebrated his rise to £10 a point with nine points of loss midweek before a slight recovery on the weekend. Snowy woke from previous slumbers with 22 points profit including the each-way part of a double.
Love stumbled across a solitary place on Saturday and Northern Monkey added a further 12 to his unsettled Cheltenham bets while losing eight points, mainly on attempted Cheltenham roll ups.
Racecracker picked up 5.5 points.
It doesn’t look too bad when written out but it’s the size of a point that makes it add up or not. Snowy, for example, rates his selections out of ten so even £2 a point risks £20 each way on a maximum selection and its far too early in our relationship to be risking more. Conversely, Northern Monkey is proving very expensive at the moment but I have eight years of faith building experience with him.

Golf
A major week of upheaval for the golf as Secret Betting Club have withdrawn Rainmaker as a free offering. He’s charging over £300 a year from next week which is still good value but not at my level of staking. He’s made 300 points of profit in 18 months so for this minnow that’s £600 profit minus £450 fees which is far too risky.
So, from next week, WGV are on their own. Despite three tournaments this week, I only managed one placer but Rainmaker partially retrieved the situation with a series of best nationality bets for much larger stakes

Wadster had a week of very, very minor gains from few selections.

New trial
I have been invited to join an exchange betting programme called The Exchange Profits Programme. It’s free for the month of March and is a bot operated horse laying programme. So far, so good.

Cash balance
A poor week resulted in -£293.32 with the year at -£1605.46. I’ve looked back to my year seven figures, and it was May before I reached profit last year essentially because both Love and Northern Monkey prefer the flat. The hole is deeper this year because I increased stakes for them this year. The picture will be clearer following Cheltenham.
