Reporting from Christmas Bet Chat HQ, Scotland…
You know that feeling when you could place a bet on Frankel against a seaside donkey or Mohammed Ali to beat ‘insert random social media knobhead’ and know that it’ll still probably lose?
Well, I experienced that throughout most of the last two weeks.
Starting sometime around Sunday, 7th December, and running through to last Friday afternoon, I experienced a run of variance that can only be described as offensive.
Racing, darts, snooker, football, casino offers (more on all of that later)… you name it, it lost. And it’s not as if I was backing long shots and accas or doing anything notably different. Nope, it was just one of those periods…
The type where you can get a ‘bet £5, get £5 roulette offer’, do £1 spins on red, and somehow hit 10 blacks in a row and walk away with nothing.
As they say… it never rains, but it pours.
And yet here’s the thing… and the reason why I decided to email today…
Variance works both ways.
I don’t know what the opposite of ‘it never rains, but it pours’ is, but that’s what I’ve experienced since last Friday afternoon.
I’ve made profits on darts, racing, football (including a glorious 17/1 ’super boosted’ first goalscorer winner), and casino offers.
In total, I’ve made three figures in each of these four days, and somewhere in the realms of £850 overall, which is at least double what was lost during the much longer bad run.
So, far from an email full of bleak winter misery, this is actually a message of Christmas hope…
If you have long-term profitable strategies, and they are going through a tough patch, DO NOT PANIC. Keep doing everything the same (assuming you’re within your designated bank) and sooner or later things will turn around…
What’s more, there’s a good chance that when they do turn around, you’ll actually hit some tremendous good fortune.
All together now… it never rains, but it pours.
Forget Santa’s list
As a little Christmas bonus, and because I thought you might be curious, I thought I’d close out today’s email by sharing the specific strategies that I’m following at the moment.
Although I’m not a big staker by any means, they make me well into four figures each year and are really easy to follow, despite my not having many unrestricted accounts left.
If you have any questions about any of them, you can email me at clients@thebetchat.com.
- Mel Gee’s First Class Racing and All-Weather Winners. Both, but especially the former, are almost equally as effective even if you don’t have access to BOG.
- On the racing side, I also use smaller stakes on Racecracker, The Betting Edge and Josh Wright’s Racing To Profit.
- Dynamite Darts.
- My own snooker views.
- Adam Cheng’s Inside Man.
- ’Super’ odds boosts (where the boosted back price is significantly greater than the exchange lay price), plus any free bet or value casino offers I can get my hands on. At present, these are mostly coming from SkyBet, Unibet, Dabble and Totesport. There are also plenty of good offers on bet365, but I no longer have an unrestricted account I can use.
