Just THREE DAYS until Miami, and final preparations are underway!
- Last week I made big improvements to the manuals even though the printed versions had to be with the printers weeks ago.
- We’ve released the sidebar Analyzer and Pricer in Beta, and there will be tweaks (mainly cosmetic but a couple of functional components) made early next week.
- For those attending in person, we noticed last year’s seats were a bit uncomfortable, so we’ve bought you memory foam cushions for the seats and backs!

Talking of enhancements, in today’s review I show a number of stocks including some exhibiting the Shrinking Retracements that are part of the Bootcamp Package. Over the coming weeks and months, you’ll find these setups will become more important.

The Markets
JP Morgan has fired the starting gun of earnings with a bang, with other financials taking encouragement. But right now, any of these recent gap-ups will need to consolidate in order to form a preferred trade setup. Keep an eye on them, but don’t rush in.
As I go through my regular process, I see a market with more upside potential but, apart from the financials, other stocks are making rather heavy weather of things.
So, my guidance for the past two weeks of further short-term upside continues, with a number of our bullish setups having performed well, but there is a “but…” in the equation.
Last week’s nuggets were decent, and there a couple more this week.
Market Outlook
More short-term upside is likely, though earnings will have big say. I didn’t cover it in the video, but the pre-earnings pies are filling up around 75% bullish.

The Main Indices
The DIA was last week’s best index performer, while the others went sideways though the IWM did have a positive Monday before returning to a rather fragile look despite holding the Monday gains.
Market Timers
- Longer Term Market Timer (OVIsi): Still half-green and inching closer to a full green circle, though likely to stay half-green this week.
- Medium Term Swing Timer: Positive and close to overbought.
- SPY OVI: Still not playing ball… that’s still the sign that this ongoing upside could be short-lived.
Fast Filters Stock Selection
Time and time again we see the power of focusing on Big Money Footprints around the Key Levels. Even in sub-optimal market conditions, they provide the safest setups.
It also pays to keep things simple, and this is particularly true with options. Of course, we can do the fancy stuff, but your bread and butter should be optimal stock setups combined with sensible and responsible options strategies that you understand. The Analyzer and Pricer will help enormously with that, so you always know what you’re doing.
In Miami one of our focuses is on “great value” options on stocks setting up nicely for our bread and butter strategy, as well as other more exotic strategies.
