Talking of market timing, you’ll notice that I’ve increased the timeframe that you can observe when you click on any of the dashboard pies. This gives us a better feel for whether we could be overbought or oversold.
Now for the markets…
Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve mentioned that the markets looked ambiguous, and that was a great call in itself!
Regardless of the overall confidence of market conditions (in either direction) you’ll always benefit from being fussy and focusing on clear Big Money Footprints near Key Levels.
Market Outlook
It’s still not crystal clear, but I’m around 60% short term bearish, but it may be short-lived.

The Main Indices
Here’s where it gets fun… This time last week the indices had all dipped back below their 50-dma’s with mainly negative OVIs. I said there wasn’t strong conviction in those setups.
During the week, the SPY, DIA and QQQ all poked above their 50-dma’s only to retreat below them again. Their OVIs remain bearish or neutral.
So, with a low degree of confidence I lean towards short term bearish.
Market Timers
- Longer Term Market Timer (OVIs): Half-green and likely to change easily during the coming weeks.
- Medium Term Swing Timer: Bullish but headed downwards.
- Index OVIs: The index OVIs remain neutral to bearish.
Fast Filters Stock Selection
For the third week, somewhat light on nuggets this week, so we’ll focus on high quality setups near Key Levels.
Of all the Big Money Footprints, the most important are OVI, Shrinking Retracements, and Key Levels. The others are also very helpful, but those three are the ones I look for first.
