Everyone loves a recommendation don’t they?
That’s why, in this Sunday series, Bet Chat Bec and I will be highlighting the very best stuff we’ve been consuming with our eyes and ears over the preceding seven days.
It also – shock horror – won’t be purely stuff about sport, betting and investing. After all, having other interests and being able to ‘switch off’ is very much a good thing.
So, without further ado, let’s get started…
First up this week are a couple of non-sport, non-betting, film recommendations as cinemas are back baby!
You’ve also got one from each of us, you lucky people.
Bet Chat Bec’s pick is the new Marvel blockbuster, Black Widow, which, in Bec’s own words, is “great despite the terrible Russian accents”. Given the cockneyest man alive, Ray Winstone, plays the villain, that sounds about right.
Ultimately, if you like Marvel it’ll probably be for you. If not, Scarlett Johansson plays the lead so, ya know.
My film recommendation meanwhile is Sweat, a Polish language film about an Instagram influencer who has legions of adoring fans but nobody to give her a hug IRL (that’s ‘In Real Life’ grandad). The lead actor is great. The film is great. Watch it.
