Please Note: The track records I publish in this diary are my own results and, as such, may not match up exactly to a tipster’s published track record. This is because I’m not always in a position to place the bets shortly after I receive them and so I will occasionally either take slightly lower prices or leave the bet altogether if it has shortened too much. I also place my own multiple bets which are detailed in the introduction post linked above.

Racing
A welcome but calm start to the week with profits from Northern Monkey, Snowy and Racecracker. Sam was off my radar for technical reasons, resolved for Saturday.
Relapses on Thursday and Friday saw me reach the weekend -£58. I halved Love’s stakes as I was approaching £1000 down with him and, lo and behold, he hit a Saturday winner at 14/1 and a place at 28/1 from only five selections to be the star of the Saturday show… but not the Sunday show.
Oh no, that accolade goes to Northern Monkey who tipped in Saudi Arabia for the day and raised 15 big points of profit, thereby knocking off just over 50% of his losses for the year. Thank you, Wayne.
Faith adequately restored in time for Cheltenham!

Football
Inside Man had a busier week than usual including the European midweek but limited success. A total of 11 tips plus two multis with only four coming good.

Golf
They did it again! Sepp Straka became the first Austrian winner on the US tour and we backed him at 100/1.
Just for good measure Rainmaker topped up with Straka in the top European market and WGV tipped Chris Kirk at 60/1 who duly placed. Another stonking week. It can’t possibly last but I’ll enjoy it while it does.

Tennis
Wadster had some personal goings on that interfered with his ability to make selections and those he did make performed poorly.

Cash balance
The week ended at -£44.33 to take me to -£1312.14 for the year. However, there’s a strong feeling this week of having turned a corner with a good seven days for the high stake tipsters Northern Monkey and Love and the golf still on a magnificent upward curve.
